Since I don't have a smart phone or tablet, I was not able to live post from the con, so I'd thought I'd post this now.
Got up at 7:30, and unholy hour for me and got ready to go, I got a ride to the train station with my dad after getting batteries for my camera. When i got onto the subway I ran into a few people on their way to the con as well. Got to the con and got my badge then headed down to the venders hall to wait for it to open or as many people in line referred to it as "Line con." Like the last time I was there I traded some origami for a few things, I got a double fist full of assorted buttons, and a Dr hooves plushy head. In the end I only payed out of pockedt for 1 button and 3 posters, I traded for the forth one though. And because nothing can go perfectly all the time, the was a leak from the ceiling that was dripping, but that was easily enough avoided. While wandering I saw a few interesting cosplayers aside from the expected pony ones. I saw a knight, a Jedi, a trashcan, and that titan that looked skinned from Attack on Titan. I also popped in on a place desegnated for trading things and I talked a guy into trading an MTG card for an origami demon, Foundry Champion if you were curious.
After the vendors I popped up to head over to a few panels that sounded interesting. The first one was Creative kitchen hosted by Pika Pete, Minty route, Cypher, and one more Ii never caught he name of. This panel was about fan made mlp clips, suggestions and helpful hints. I next headed over to The Men of MLP, hosted by Dusky Katt(Rhoades), James Brown, Micheal Dobson, and Derek Thomson. Among these men were a navel personal, a custom motor cycle designer, someone who sky dives, and a few other "manly men". This panel was on how just because you are who you are and like a show for little girls, doesn't mean you can't be a real man and stand up for what you believe in, how being manly doesn't mean you have to follow society's expectations, and how you can learn from both your heroes and villains.
At the end of the con, we has line con part 2 waiting for the closing ceremonies to start, but it was well worth it as the entire con was grinning with a weekends worth of fun. The voice actress for spike said a final good bye in character, which was a little odd to be honest, then the staff showed the con a clip that started off this whole mess, a fan made PMV "Good Morning Baltimare". after assorted thanks to the staff and guests not to mention us, the con goers, we wrapped up and headed home to rest up for next year.
